TEDxBrookland 2022

S.T.E.M.: Striving Towards Excellent Minds

Whole Genome Science (WGS) Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with Archbishop Carroll High Schools’ Jim Vance Media Program, is sponsoring TEDxBrookland: S.T.E.M. (Striving Towards Excellent Minds).  This TEDx event is designed to provide a unique experience to engage, encourage, and promote STEM education as a program for all levels of learners, from K through 12 high school and beyond.

TEDxBrookland 2022 is a two-hour interactive event curated by WGS Foundation (wgsfinc.org), with an in-house audience of about 300-500. Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx[name], where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDx[name] event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
